1A Boys Golf: Beavers See Huge Improvement in Second Meet

Posted

Though Tenino didn’t come away with a win in its second-ever match, the Beavers saw tremendous improvement on Tuesday from their inaugural meet on Sept. 7.

The Beavers were edged 219-224 by La Center on the road Tuesday, improving by 23 strokes from their first match against Hoquiam last week.

David Dallaire and Preston Snider each led Tenino with a 53, while Ethan Baxter shot a 54 and Kaiden Lindholm and Jacob David each finished with a 64. Jaxon Gore shot a 66.

“Each time they’re gonna get better,” Tenino coach Del Sandberg said. “They’re young, they want to get better and they’re getting more experience and confidence.”

Four Beavers have already shot a 59 or lower to qualify for the 1A District 4 tournament. That includes Baxter, Dallaire, Gore and Snider.

Tenino continues its season with a match on Thursday at Montesano.
