Wednesday's Prep Cross Country: Rochester’s Jennings Places Second at EvCo Meet

ROCHESTER — Rochester’s Levi Jennings placed second at an Evergreen 2A Conference cross country meet here on Wednesday.

Jennings finished the race in 16 minutes, 42 seconds. Black Hills’ Truman Affeldt won the race in 16:33.

Jaegan Reese finished fourth in 18:49 and Christian Larson finished eighth in 19:24. Hunter Morgan placed ninth in 19:31 for the Warriors.

Rochester’s Christopher Dugas (20:13) placed 13th, William Morton (21:42) earned 17th and Collin Teter Lorentzen (23:17) finished 20th.

Rochester is back in action next Wednesday at the Evergreen 2A Conference championships in Chehalis.

Bearcat Boys, Girls Sweep Home Meet

Elaina Koenig took first on Wednesday during the girls race of an Evergreen 2A Conference cross country meet at Stan Hedwall Park.

Host W.F. West swept both team events, which also featured Aberdeen and Ocosta.

Koenig won the 5K varsity girls race in 22:07. Teammate Xylia Warner was second in 22:32, and Iris Van der ploeg was seventh in 23:58.

The Bearcats got a team win, edging Ocosta — the only other complete squad — 19-40.



On the boys side, Myles Johnston took third for W.F. West in 17:44. Teammate William Taylor was fourth in 18:03, and Henry Jordan was fifth in 18:28.

Dylan Todd, from Ocosta, won the boys event in 17:32.

W.F. West runs in the EvCo championships on Wednesday, back at Stan Hedwall Park.

Tumwater Takes Both Ends of EvCo Meet

TUMWATER — The host Thunderbirds won both the boys and girls team events here Wednesday in an EvCo cross country meet with Centralia at Pioneer Park.

Cameron Moore finished fourth for the Tiger boys in 18:26, with teammate Devin Harrison in eighth at 19:10. Josh Newman, from Tumwater, won the boys race in 17:36. Tumwater won the team meet, 17-42.

On the girls side, Tumwater’s Olivia Bailon came in first by over a minute in 21:38.49. Olivia Myers was second in 22:38, Lydia Jack was third, and Olivia Marty was fourth for the T-Birds.

Jade Hudson was 10th for Centralia in 26:34.

Centralia runs in the EvCo championships on Wednesday at Stan Hedwall Park in Chehalis.
