ADNA — Toledo’s Nicholas Marty ran a great race to finish second at a Central 2B League cross country meet here on Tuesday.
Marty completed the race in 12 minutes, 34 seconds. Ilwaco’s Daniel Quintana won the race in 12:20.
Adna’s Aaron Aselton finished fifth in 14:12 and Toledo’s Kyler Reed finished 12th in 14:55. Onalaska’s Lethon Fitch finished 13th in 15 minutes, 0.79 seconds ahead of Jacob Russon in 14th place. Jedidiah Wagoner (15:23) finished 15th, Trevor Blair (15:28) placed 16th and Devon Wright (15:34) earned 18th place for the Loggers.
Toledo’s Jonathan Cisneros (16:28) placed 25th, Jacob Butcher (16:47) took 31st place and Adna’s Kaige Miller (17:23) finished 34th.
Ilwaco won the boys team title. Onalaska finished second, Kalama took third and Toledo placed fourth.
In the girls race, Onalaska’s Jennifer Reiman placed seventh in 18 minutes, one second. Adna’s Faith Wellander placed eighth in 18:06 and Toledo’s Greenlee Clark earned 11th place in 18:53.
Adna’s Haileigh Brooks (18:57) finished 12th and Onalaska’s Samantha Conner (19:34) took 15th place.
Adna’s Melli Wolf (20:08) finished 16th, Onalaska’s Renate Prazak (20:39) finished 19th and Adna’s Haley Rainey (20:46) earned 20th place.
The Ilwaco girls won the team title. Adna finished second, Kalama took third and Toledo placed fourth. Ilwaco’s Estella Sheldon won the race in 16:41.
Adna, Onalaska and Toledo will compete again next Tuesday at the Central 2B League Championships at Rainier.
Rainier’s Niemi Wins at C2BL Meet in Mossyrock
MOSSYROCK — Rainier’s Selena Niemi added another win to her 2019 season at a Central 2B League cross country meet here on Tuesday.
Niemi completed the race in 20 minutes, 35 seconds. Sophie Beadle finished second for the Mountaineers in 21:05.
Morton-White Pass’ Olyvia Brownell (22:41) took fourth place, Ayricka Hughes (22:48) earned fifth place and Alissa Hughes (23:20) finished in sixth place.
Rainier’s Clara Wagner (23:45) placed seventh, Hailey Tyrrell (24:20) earned eighth place, Hazel Busic (24:27) finished ninth and Lorianne Price (24:29) rounded out the Top 10.
In the boys race, MWP’s Alex Brown placed third in 18:03. Rainier’s Dylan Davis earned fourth place in 18:35 and Mossyrock’s Christain Paz Tapia finished fifth in 18:35.
David Martinez (19:09) placed sixth and Manuel Martinez (19:19) finished seventh for the T-Wolves. Tyler Barlass (19:34) finished ninth and MWP’s Eric Brown (19:35) earned 10th.
Mossyrock and Rainier will each race next at the Central 2B League Championships next Tuesday in Rainier.
