Bearcat Bowlers Dominate All-League Honors

W.F. West senior Kelsey Stritmatter was named 2A Evergreen’s girls bowling co-MVP, Bearcats coach Don Bunker was selected as Coach of the Year and the Bearcats claimed six of the seven first team all-league spots.

Stritmatter placed fourth at the 1A/2A state tournament on Feb. 6 and 7, helping the Bearcats to their first state title in program history. Stritmatter, who averaged a 172 during the regular season, was named co-MVP along with Black Hills’ Hallie Stuart.

Bunker was selected as Coach of the Year after leading the Bearcats to an undefeated 15-0 season, which included league, district and state titles. 



First team all-league selections include freshman Piper Chalmers, who placed third at state; senior Ellie Bunker, who was 13th at state; junior Brianna Powe, ninth at state; sophomore Cami Aldrich (165 average); junior Jessica Loflin (160 average); and Black Hills’ Miranda Hall.
