Pay-what-you-can performance of “Scrooge the Musical” by Leslie Bricusse, 7:30 p.m. at Centralia’s Evergreen Playhouse. Evergreenplayhouse.com. Tickets cost $12-$15. The holiday favorite follows the plot of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, in which the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge undergoes a profound experience of redemption after being visited by the ghost of his former partner Jacob Marley and the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future. Performances take place through Dec. 15.

Ballet Theatre of Washington Presents “The Nutcracker”

7 p.m. Dec. 6-7 and Dec. 13 and 2 p.m. Dec. 7 and Dec. 14. There will be a special abridged, narrated version for younger audiences offered at 6 p.m. Dec. 12. Located at the Historic Liberty Theatre, 413 North Tower, Centralia

Tickets cost $20 for adults, $15 for children and seniors. There are 100 tickets available to the Dec. 7 show available free to foster care families in Lewis or Thurston counties. Families must call and reserve their free tickets, which are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets can be purchased by calling (360) 623-9010 or going tobrownpapertickets.com.

Tenino Winterfest 2019, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Tenino High School at 224 E. Sussex Avenue E., Tenino. The event features pictures with Santa and an elf, music, vendors, gift wrapping by Girl Scout Troop 41335 and raffles. The event is also a food drive benefiting the Tenino Food Bank Plus.

Annual community sing-along of Handel’s “Messiah,” 4:30 p.m. at the Chehalis Seventh-day Adventist Church at 120 Chilvers Road. The event includes a full orchestra, soloists and a community choir.

Blues performer Lisa Mann will perform for the “First Anniversary Christmas Blues Bash” starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Chehalis Theatre at 558 N. Market Boulevard. Doors open at 7 p.m. Mann will perform on bass and vocals with Jason Thomas on guitar and Willis Moss on drums. 

70th Annual Santa Parade, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in downtown Chehalis, in support of current military members and veterans.  The grand marshall will be “hometown heroes.”

Author Mickey Gunther will sign his book “Fritz and the Rat King” from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Book ‘n’ Brush at 518 N. Market Boulevard.

Sacajawea Guild of the Mary Bridge Brigade’s 44th annual Breakfast with Santa, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., Moose Family Center, No. 1109, 1400 Grand Avenue, Centralia. All proceeds benefit Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital. Breakfast includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, applesauce, fruit juice, coffee and hot chocolate. Suggested donations are $7 for adults, $4 for children 4 to12 and breakfast is free for kids 3 or under.

The Westminster Bell Choir will perform a free concert at 7 p.m. Dec. 7 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Chehalis.
