Mia Suhrbier, an 18-year-old from Winlock, was named senior winner at the state Make It With Wool competition held Oct. 29 in La Conner.

The competition was held in conjunction with the annual convention of the Washington State Sheep Producers Association.

Suhrbier constructed and modeled a three-piece wool ensemble consisting of a blue double breasted jacket, plaid button down shirt and jeans.  She received a trip to the national competition in Denver, Colorado, in January.

Placing second in the junior category was Nathan Suhrbier, 15, also from Winlock, with a black hunting wool coat and heathered black hunting pants.  He won a Husqvarna Viking Sewing Machine.

Junior winner was Jackson Fellows, 15, Puyallup.  Adult winner was Dorothy Fish, Federal Way.
