Featured Volunteer Opportunities
• Help the Lewis County Gospel Mission “Feed the Need”! If you could spare a few hours on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, the Lewis County Gospel Mission needs your time cooking and serving lunches. Cooks should have current food handlers permit.
• Today, two-thirds of American fourth-graders cannot read at grade level. Volunteers who work with students have the power to help boost academic achievement for a child and set the right track for a brighter future. United Way of Lewis County seeks passionate, dedicated and kind volunteers to join the Reading Buddy program for the 2015-16 school year.
• Health and Hope Medical Outreach is looking for front desk/registration clerks. Duties include: patient registration, data entry in the EMR and distributing clinic paperwork to the nurse’s station. Good customer service, clerical skills and computer proficiency are helpful.
