Retired Marine

Chief Warrant Officer 4 Patrick C. Marshall, son of William and Janice Marshall, Onalaska, recently retired from the U.S. Marine Corps. Patrick Marshall served 26 years with the Marines. He is shown with his wife, Teresa. At his retirement ceremony, Marshall was given the Special Service Commendation Award. His family, which includes two daughters, will be living in El Paso, Texas, while they rehabilitate their home and prepare it for sale. They plan on touring the country, visiting friends and relatives. Marshall has a constant companion, a service dog named Lando, who helps him cope with post-traumatic stress disorder, which he sustained as a result of his military experiences. The Marine retiree is a 1991 Mossyrock High School graduate.
