Oakview Grange
Oakview Grange members Patsy Sanchez, Debbie Mills, Joyce Kludt and Jerry Grill created another award-winning display in the Grange Aisle at this year’s Southwest Washington Fair.
The fair theme, “Fair in Full Bloom,” inspired Oakview to pay tribute to the nurseries in Lewis County. Oakview took third place with its “Lewis County Petal Pushers — Blooming with Pride.”
The Grange’s Oct. 2-3 rummage sale helped raise funds for Oakview Grange scholarships. Coffee, pastries and lunch were available to the public.
Grangers will once again present over 100 Jefferson-Lincoln third-graders with their own dictionary as part of the nationwide Dictionary Project. This project is also known as the Words for Thirds, an educational program supported by Granges throughout the nation.
On Nov. 6-7, Oakview Grange will host its first holiday craft fair. Tables rent for $10 per day. Vendors may contact Bob at (360) 748-1756.
