Chronicle Facebook followers respond to post of “BioBlitz Helps Public Connect With Nature Along Discovery Trail:”

Tara Wheatley: My little family really enjoyed BioBlitz. We learned about lots of plants and we loved watching the birds fishing on the river. We even identified plants using a really cool app on our phones. We will be doing it again and probably spend lots of time this summer out on the trail.

Chronicle Facebook followers respond to post of “Our Views: Braun, Republicans Protect Constituents From Tax-Happy Dems:”

Adam Peterson: Two protesters and there was an official rebuke from Sen. Braun calling them bullies and an op-ed in the local newspaper disagreeing with them, calling their criticism “insincere and incorrect.” I’d say the protestors had an effect.

Cheryl Hammer: Se. John Braun wants to cut the compensation for caregivers. It is a ruthless proposal, and I believe he has a personal vendetta against unions and wants to stick it to hard-working people. I am furious that the editorial board who wrote this column didn’t even mention the fact that John Braun wants to make devastating cuts to the most vulnerable populations in our state.

Robbie Lieske: I have noticed a much more liberal bias from The Chronicle than in years past so I appreciated this article giving a different viewpoint from a more conservative understanding. We all have differing ways of looking at things but it seems that liberals think that only their way is right. Can’t we just work at getting along for the best of the city, county and state, instead of causing so much division? It’s pretty arrogant of any person, party or group of people to believe that what they believe, the way they believe it, is the only way and that everyone else should believe that way, too. I would love to see true journalism come back. To be able to read or listen to the news without bias. Just report the facts without the bias. Just be fair, honest and balanced.

MaMagoo Mcgowen: Neither Democrats nor Republicans give two hoots about their constituents. They just want to act like 2 year olds and fight each other about everything and end up solving nothing the majority of the time.

I couldn’t agree more with your commentary on Dems and their tax-happy ways. Thank you for having the courage to state the unpopular truth.
