Birthdays: Ruth Herren

Ruth Herren, Toledo, will celebrate her 100th birthday Sunday, April 14, with a special coffee hour about 11:30 a.m. at Toledo Presbyterian Church following the 10:30 a.m. service. 

Herren is a retired teacher with many years of experience teaching first grade in area schools. She also worked for Boeing as a “Rosie the Riveter” during World War II. 

Her husband was Robert Herren. He died in 2005.

Her children and spouses are Christine (Peter) Watkins, Port Angeles, and Mary Jo Pierce, Shoreline. She has four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. 

Herren welcomes friends to the celebration.
