Ruth Sturza Fox, Onalaska, will be celebrating her 85th birthday with an open house 2-4 p.m. Saturday, May 16, in the Family Life Center of the Centralia Community Church of God.
Fox was born in Canada, was lived more than 70 years in Washington and Oregon. She attended schools in Toledo.
She was married to Fred Sturza and Richard Fox, who are now both deceased.
Fox was a housewife and waitress at the Logger Burger Bar in Onalaska.
She is a member of the Onalaska Garden Club, and enjoys making jewelry with her sister, having coffee with her friends and visiting her grandchildren.
Fox’s children and spouses are Linda (Mike) Wolfe, Olympia; Ruth (Jim) Bridges, Chehalis; Diane (Sam) Ramey, Hermiston, Oregon; Fred Sturza, Onalaska; and Toni (David) Thorson, Olympia.
She also has 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Cake, coffee and punch will be served at the open house. The family requests that no gifts be brought to the event.
