Warren and Donna Sorenson

Warren and Donna Sorenson, Chehalis, will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary 2-4 p.m. Saturday, July 18, at the Chehalis First Baptist Church, hosted by their children.

The Sorensons were married June 19, 1965, in Portland.



Warren had a 38-year career with Weyerhaeuser as a region engineer. They have lived in various regions in Washington and Oregon, and were sent to Borneo, Indonesia. They returned from Borneo in 1979 and have lived here in Chehalis since then. He retired in 2003.

Donna retired in 2002 from working 14 years at WSU Lewis County Cooperative Extension. She is a Master Food Preserver and likes cooking, canning, sewing and quilting. Warren’s hobbies are fishing, tying flies, biking and gardening. Both enjoy camping and boating, and hope to do more traveling.

The couple’s children and spouses are Dan (Hilleary) Sorenson, Ferndale, and Brenda (Tim) Atkins, Puyallup. They have six grandchildren.
