Anniversaries: Cournyer

Ralph and Gloria Cournyer

Ralph and Gloria Cournyer, Morton, will be celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary 2-5 p.m. Sunday, June 28, at the Lyle Community Center in Morton. The event is being given by their three sons and daughters-in-law.

The Cournyers were married June 28, 1945 in Chehalis. Ralph was a teacher and principal in the Morton School District. Gloria was a housewife and also served as deputy city clerk for the city of Morton for five years.

The Cournyers’ children and spouses are Mike (Theresa) Cournyer, Morton; Alan (Char) Cournyer, Morton; and Tim (Jonni) Cournyer, Mossyrock.

Lunch and cake will be served at the anniversary celebration. The family requests that no gifts be brought to the event.
