Cecil and Connie Church
Cecil and Connie Church, Toledo, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Aug. 29.
They were married Aug. 27, 1955, in Riffe.
The couple were surprised by their three children and spouses, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren at their Toledo home. It was also Connie’s 75th birthday.
The gathering was limited to their immediate family and consisted of a surprise potluck, champagne toast for the adults and sparkling cider for the rest. The remainder of the evening consisted of a lot of picture taking, sitting around playing music and singing, and reminiscing about the past. Some family had to return home and others stayed the night.
Cecil, now retired, was a truck driver, forklift operator and machinist. Connie, also retired, was an electronics assembler and caregiver, as well as a housewife.
Their children and spouses are sons Gary Church (Dawn), Covington, and Leroy Church (Peggy), Molalla, Oregon. Daughter is Kitty Milligan (Gil), Coulee City.
The Churches have 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
