Roland and Jean (Mudgett) Badavinac

Roland and Jean (Mudgett) Badavinac, Centralia, will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, at the American Legion Grant Hodge Post 17, 111 W. Main St., Centralia.

The couple were married Nov. 12, 1954, in Salinas, Kansas, when Roland was serving in the Air Force.

Roland worked for the Washington Irrigation and Development Co. for 20 years, and Jean was employed by the Centralia School District. They are both active with the American Legion.

Their children and spouses are Connie (Spencer) Davis, Chehalis; Cheryl (Larry) Boehm, La Center; Kim Badavinac, deceased; and Scott (Geri) Badavinac, Craig, Colorado. They have five grandchildren, Jared, Adam, Lylene, Ethen and Maggie, and five great-grandchildren, Avery, Olive, Jade, Harper and Jack.

Darrel and Delores Prince

Darrel and Delores Prince, Silver Creek, will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a lunch noon-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at Fort Borst Park Kitchen 1, Centralia. The event is being hosted by their children and grandchildren.

The couple were married Dec. 25, 1964, in Vancouver, Washington.

Their children are Lisa Melius, Kristine Martinez and Darrel A. Prince, all of Vancouver. They have six grandchildren.



John and Bonnie Morris

John and Bonnie Morris will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, Nov. 30, during a reception at their home, 8234 W. Papago St., Phoenix, Arizona.

The event is being hosted by their oldest daughter, Robin Derkacht, Perham, Minnesota. The theme for this occasion is “One Life, One Love.”

Fifty years ago, The Daily Chronicle announced the marriage of John Morris and Bonnie Howard Nov. 28, 1964, in Lacey.

John worked for the Centralia Coal Mine for 26 years and retired to Arizona in 2004. He was a heavy equipment operator.

Bonnie is a housewife.

As a hobby, John rebuilds metal toys. Bonnie writes for the Web, has authored two books, and loves crocheting and reading.

The couple both graduated from Mossyrock High School.

Their children are Robin Derkacht, Perham, Minnesota; Tim Morris of Forsyth, Montana; and Renee Burleson, Tumwater. They have 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
