Sidewalk Access Ramp Improvements Set to Begin Next Week in Centralia

Posted

In a Nov. 23 news release, the Centralia Public Works Department announced that beginning on Nov. 29, construction will begin to make sidewalk access ramp removal and replacements and install pedestrian push buttons along Harrison Avenue from High Street to Main Street.

Construction will be done by Western United Civil Group LLC and is expected to last a few weeks.

During that time, commuters can expect one lane of travel to be closed on Harrison Avenue during active construction work. At least one travel lane will remain open, but those commuting are still advised to find alternate routes to minimize congestion in the area.
