Onalaska was in early-season form after a long football season, taking a 77-37 loss to Toutle Lake on the road Tuesday in non-league play.

The Ducks had four players score in double figures, led by Jackson Cox’s 17 points and Zach Swanson’s 14.

“It was a tough one,” Onalaska coach Wayne Nelson said. “Our first game. They’re good, but we’ll never make excuses about anything.”

Onalaska was led by Mason Ulery’s 15 points, while Nick Rushton added 12.

The Loggers shot just 22 percent from two ( 5 for 23) and 6 of 22 from beyond the arc (27 percent). Toutle Lake, meanwhile, shot 56 percent from two.

Onalaska (0-1) hosts Winlock on Thursday.
