Onalaska exploded for a 20-1 run to open the game and kept its feet on the pedal in a 52-30 drubbing of Toutle Lake at home Wednesday.

“We came out strong,” Onalaska coach Alana Olson said. “It felt good to come out with a high level of intensity. Our defense was creating offense.”

Dakota Hamilton led all scorers with 22 points and hauled down seven rebounds. Morgan Hamilton added 10 points and five boards and Callie Lawrence chipped in eight points.

“(Dakota) was all over the place,” Olson said. “She worked really hard.”

Alex Cleveland-Barrera pulled down seven rebounds, Hope Rhodes had six and the Loggers tallied 34 total rebounds. Cierra Russ swiped a game-high nine steals, dished out a team-high four assists and was commended by Olson for her hustle.

The Loggers shot 24 of 60 from the field (40%) and hit 3 of 11 from long range.

Onalaska (2-1 overall) heads to Winlock (2-0) for a 7 p.m. match on Friday.
