Weekend Men's College Basketball: Centralia Defeats Edmonds, Falls to Everett

EVERETT — The Blazers began their season this weekend, earning a win against Edmonds on Saturday before falling to host Everett on Sunday in NWAC non-regional men’s basketball action.

Centralia won 87-78 on Saturday. Taylor Peppinger led the Blazers with 21 points and Kobe Matsen had a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Tyler Meadows added 16 points and Tyler Ashmore tallied 11 points. Michael Adams chipped in 12 points and seven rebounds off the bench.



On Sunday, Everett took down Centralia, 102-64. Jerry Boston led the Blazers with 19 points off the bench. Jaylin Walker totaled 10 points and Peppinger had six rebounds.

Centralia (1-1) hosts Spokane on Saturday in a non-regional game.
