ABERDEEN — The Bearcats made quick work of the Bobcats here on Wednesday with set scores of 25-18, 25-16 and 25-18 to win an Evergreen 2A Conference volleyball match.
Ava Olsen, Alisha Anderson and Sophia DeTray each served 100 percent and Anderson added nine aces. Ashlyn Whalen, Drea Brumfield and Sydney VonMoos tallied four kills each for the Bearcats.
“I thought they played really well. We were able to get a lot of people in different positions with a big opponent tomorrow night. Everyone owned their positions and worked together,” W.F. West coach Emily Mora said. “Aberdeen isn’t going to roll over and give you points. They are scrappy and have a strong middle hitter. We did a good job defending that. We had trouble with errors in the past and we did a good job of cleaning up our errors.”
W.F. West (2-8, 2-4) hosts Black Hills on Thursday.
