Wednesday's Prep Volleyball: Beavers Get Blasted by Rainier

Posted

TENINO — Rainier was able to get by the Beavers in straight sets here tonight with set scores of 25-7, 25-10 and 25-11 to secure the non-league volleyball win.

“The gal from Rainier, we didn’t have any answer for her,” noted Tenino assistant coach Wanda Blanksma.

The “gal” in question was Faith Boesch, who scored 25 points on the night.

“We burned all the timeouts we could but she just kept it going,” added Blanksma.

Destiny Neifert and Felissia Ott were both perfect from the service stripe for the Beavers but Tenino was still unable to establish a consistent offensive attack. Blanksma said there were plenty of positives to build on, however.

“I thought (Rainier was) a good looking little team. Some big hitters and some good servers,” Blanksma said. “We’ve got a pretty inexperienced group of girls but they played with a lot of heart and scrapped. We’re pleased with their attitude and work ethic.”

Tenino (0-2) will play at Adna on Saturday.
