Wednesday's Girls Bowling: Rochester Defeats Montesano

Rochester earned their second straight win at Fairway Lanes on Wednesday, defeating Montesano 12-6 in a 1A/2A Evergreen League girls bowling match in Centralia.

The Warriors were paced by Amerika Jones, bowling a 141 and 154. Sarah Soderback also had a strong showing with a 134 and 151. Emily Holmes-Pickernell rolled a 126 and a 122, Thaila Phothisat bowled a 125 and an 85 and Zee Lowry rounded out the Warriors with an 89 and a 71.

Montesano’s Alexa Couch rolled a 126 and an 88 and Anna Lynn Farley bowled a 111 and a 102. Izabel Cope recorded a 117 and a 128, Olivia Moore had a 163 and a 93 and Danika Peterson rolled a 138 and a 90.

Rochester hosts Black Hills on Monday at Fairway Lanes in Centralia.

Wolves Deal Bearcats First Loss



W.F. West and Black Hills were knotted at six after the individual matches, but Black Hills won both Baker format games to earn a 10-8 win in a 1A/2A Evergreen League girls bowling match at Fairway Lanes in Centralia.

Brianna Powe bowled a 202 and a 110 and Kelsey Stritmatter rolled a 136 and a 148. Jessica Loflin won both her individual matches with a 142 and a 167 and Leslie Erwin also won both matches with a 160 and a 193. Ellie Bunker tallied a 146 and a 150.

Black Hills won the Baker format games 150-133 and 173-171.

W.F. West (4-1) travels to Kelso on Friday for a non-league match.
