Wednesday's College Soccer: Blazers Earn First Regional Win Against Pierce

PUYALLUP — The Blazers scored two goals and were able to fend off Pierce down the stretch to earn a 2-1 win in an NWAC West Region women’s soccer game here on Wednesday.

Neither team was able to score in the first half. Centralia got on the board first in the 75th minute on an unassisted goal by Chloe Narolski. Two minutes later, Joanna Pingel scored unassisted for the Blazers for a 2-0 lead.

Pierce’s Camryn Rowe scored unassisted in the 89th minute but Centralia held on for the win.



Centralia goalkeeper Bethany Dinh made two saves in the victory and the Blazers outshot Pierce, 11-7.

Centralia (2-3-1, 1-1) travels to Auburn on Saturday at 7 p.m. to take on Green River in a West Region contest.
