Tuesday's Cross Country: Apperson, Adna Boys Win C2BL Meet

ADNA — Austen Apperson won his home meet, as the Adna boys won a Central 2B League cross country meet here on Tuesday.

Apperson completed the race in 18:02, more than 30 seconds faster than second place.

Mossyrock’s James Cushman finished in third (18:51) and Morton-White Pass’ Manuel Martinez was close behind in fourth place (18:53). Adna’s Lucas Wellander (19:11) and Aaron Slape (19:25) finished fifth and sixth respectively, and the Timberwolves’ Koda Seymer placed seventh (19:33).

Mossyrock’s Edgar Alvarez took eighth place (19:41), Adna’s Adam Mower placed ninth (19:45) and Mossyrock’s Matthew Scheuber earned 10th place (19:47).



Mossyrock’s boys finished second as a team.

On the girls side, Adna’s Lauryn Apperson finished in second place (21:57) behind Rainier’s Elaina Hansen.

Mossyrock’s Sarah Lovan took third place (22:14) and Morton-White Pass’ Kaylen Collette earned fifth place (23:32). MWP’s Elexcious Hampton earned 10th place (25:04).

Adna is back in action next Tuesday at a Central 2B League meet in Rainier. MWP and Mossyrock race again next Tuesday in Onalaska.
