Tuesday's Track & Field: W.F. West Sweeps EvCo Home Meet

The Bearcat boys and girls each won team titles at an Evergreen 2A Conference track & field meet with Rochester and Tumwater at Bearcat Stadium in Chehalis on Tuesday.

In boys action, W.F. West’s Jaiyden Camoza won the 100 with a time of 11.56 seconds. Carver Brennan won the 400 (52.76) and Francisco Lima won the 1600 (4:45.44) and the 3200 (10:17.92). Connor Russell won the 110 meter hurdles (15.69) and the 300 hurdles (42.40).

The 4x100 relay team of Troy Yarter, Brennan, Camoza and Aaron Fuller won with a time of 45.96 seconds. The 4x400 relay team of Brennan, Fuller, Russell and Gerardo Sanchez-Carpio won with a time of 3:35.68.

Colby White won the high jump (6-04), long jump (20-05) and the triple jump (41-07). Cooper McCoy won the discus (132-01) and Lafe Johnson won the pole vault (12-06).

Rochester’s Daniel May finished second in the javelin (144-04) and the 4x100 relay team of Ian Lupardus, Patrick Riley, Talon Betts and May placed third with a time of 48.70 seconds.



Lupardus placed third in the 110 hurdles (18.13). Brycen Horner finished fifth in the 3200 (13:52.12) and Patrick Riley took fifth in the 400 (55.91).

In girls action, W.F. West’s Gracie Ericson won the triple jump (29-02.50) and Megan Flexhaug won the pole vault (10-00). Brianna Powe won the discus (106-10) and Taya McCallum won the shot put (30-04).

The 4x100 relay team of Nina Heither, Courtney Bennett, Kelly Robertson and Elizabeth Patana won with a time of 54.70 seconds. The 4x200 relay team of Heither, Bennett, Patana and Robertson won in 1:54.08 and the 4x400 relay team of Heither, Bennett, Patana and Robertson won in 4:29.48. Robertson won the 300 hurdles (52.61).

Rochester’s Amerika Jones won the 100 hurdles (18.88) and Hannah Rodeheaver placed second in the shot put (27-10). Kate Peltier finished third in the high jump (4-06) and the triple jump (28-08).

W.F. West travels east of the Cascades on Saturday to compete in the Pasco Invitational. Rochester travels to Tumwater on Friday for the Wolfpack Invitational.
