Tuesday's Prep Cross Country: Morton-White Pass Girls Take Second at Fast and Flat

RANDLE — The Morton-White Pass girls cross country team finished in second place at the Fast and Flat cross country race here on Tuesday.

MWP’s highest finisher was freshman Olyvia Brownell, taking fifth place with a time of 22 minutes, 32 seconds. Teammate Ayricka Hughes placed seventh with a time of 22:41 and Alissa Hughes finished in 16th place with a time of 24:12.

Zillah captured the girls team title by two points over MWP. Adna finished in third place.

Onalaska’s Jennifer Reiman earned eighth place with a time of 22:51. Toledo’s Greenlee Clark (24:20) earned 17th place and Adna’s Faith Wellander (24:24) placed 20th.

In the boys race, Toledo’s Nicholas Marty won with a time of 16:35. Morton-White Pass’ Alex Brown finished in ninth place with a time of 18:26.



Adna’s Aaron Aselton (18:35) finished in 14th place and Toledo’s Tyler Harris (18:36) finished right behind Aselton in 15th place.

MWP’s Matt Cooper (18:37) took 17th place and David Martinez (18:57) finished just outside the Top 20 in 21st place.

Forks won the boys team title, with Naches Valley placing second and Three Rivers Christian taking third place. MWP earned fourth place.

MWP is back in action on Saturday at the Apple Ridge Run Invitational in Yakima. Adna, Mossyrock and Toledo are also competing on Saturday at the Three Course Challenge at Camp Rilea in Oregon.
