RAINIER — Toledo’s Nicholas Marty picked up his second win in four days at a Central 2B League cross country meet here on Tuesday.
Marty finished the race in 18:28.08. Morton-White Pass’ Manuel Martinez placed second with a time of 18:40.97 and Adna’s Matthew Scheuber finished in third with a time of 18:45.57.
The MWP boys finished second as a team and Adna placed third. Ocosta won the team title.
MWP’s David Martinez (19:01), Asher Sympson (19:14) and Alex Brown (19:27) finished 8th, 9th and 10th respectively.
Adna’s Jackson Humphrey (19:31) placed 11th and Toledo’s Jonathon Cisneros (20:35) finished in 15th place.
Adna’s Brian Maughan (20:57) earned 17th, teammate Kaige Miller (21:09) finished 19th and Toledo’s Jacob Butcher (21:14) rounded out the top 20 in 20th place.
On the girls side, Adna’s Lauryn Apperson finished fourth with a time of 22:24 to help the Pirates earn second as a team. Rainier’s Elaina Hansen, Selena Niemi and Sophie Beadle each finished first, second and third respectively to help the Mountaineers win the team title.
MWP’s Kaylen Collette finished 6th with a time of 23:07. Toledo’s Greenlee Clark completed the race in 23:32 to finish in 8th as the Indians placed third as a team.
MWP’s Elexcious Hampton (24:11) and Alissa Hughes (24:16) placed 9th and 10th respectively.
Toledo’s Heather Fenison (25:08) and Ashley White (25:09) finished 13th and 14th respectively and Adna’s Haileigh Brooks (25:15) rounded out the top 15 in 15th place.
Adna competes next at the Nike Hole in the Wall Invitational in Lakewood on Saturday. Morton-White Pass travels to a Central 2B League meet at Adna on Tuesday and Toledo heads to the Harvest Classic in Longview on Saturday.
Onalaska’s Wright, Mossyrock’s Lovan Win Toutle Lake Meet
TOUTLE — Onalaska’s Zachary Wright and Mossyrock’s Sarah Lovan each won at a Central 2B League cross country meet here on Tuesday.
Lovan won with a time of 20:17.76. Onalaska’s Samantha Conner (25:51) placed 6th, Mossyrock’s Campbell Schultz (26:25) finished 7th and Napavine’s Kayla Bornstien (27:57) earned 8th place.
Mossyrock’s Anaflor Hernandez (28:35) placed 9th and Onalaska’s Kaylea Sneed (29:19) rounded out the top 10 in 10th place.
On the boys side, Wright completed the race in 17:15.05. Mossyrock’s James Cushman (18:33) and Gunner Mulligan (18:36) finished fourth and fifth, with the Vikings placing second as a team.
Kalama won the boys team title.
Napavine’s Caleb Perz Stewart (19:34) finished 11th. Mossyrock’s Gerardo Salgado (19:41) placed 12th, Charlie Paz-Tapia (20:22) earned 15th, Eddie Franco (20:23) finished 16th and Micah Voelker (20:36) placed 17th.
Mossyrock travels to the Trojan Relays in Rainier, Ore., on Thursday. Napavine and Onalaska travel to Adna on Tuesday for a Central 2B League meet.
