Thursday's Track & Field: Toledo Boys, Napavine Girls Take Team Titles at C2BL Meet

NAPAVINE — The Toledo boys and Napavine girls won the team titles in a four team Central 2B League Track & Field meet here on Thursday.

The Napavine girls had 92.5 points and Toledo finished second with 77 points.

Mollie Olson won three events for Napavine, taking the 100 hurdles (15.57 seconds), the 300 hurdles (47.64) and the triple jump (34 feet, 8.5 inches). Olson also placed second in the long jump (15-08).

Xoee Pope won the 400 (1:09.95) and Chloe Stewart earned the win in the long jump (16-08.50) and finished second in the triple jump (33-09) for the Tigers.

Napavine’s 4x200 relay team (Riley Beeson, Sydney Burdick, Vannie Fagerness, Yoselyn Sandoval) won with a time of 2:01.84. Trinity Underhill finished second in the pole vault (6-00).

Toledo’s Abigail Rowe won the 100 (13.17) and the 200 (27.95). Ally Bacon won the javelin (116-04) and Emily Tyner won the high jump (4-08).

Toledo’s 4x100 relay team (Bacon, Kallie Schaplow, Alyssa Gaskill, Rowe) and the 4x400 relay team (Shareace Miller, Rowe, Ashlyn Rustan, Stacie Spahr) each earned wins.

Ashley White earned second place in the 1600 (7:30.61) and Kal Schaplow finished second in the javelin (103-02).

The Toledo boys took the team title with 159 points and Napavine finished in second with 84 points.

Toledo’s Reece Wallace won the 400 (55.80) and long jump (18-05) and finished second in the triple jump (38-05) and high jump (5-02).

Nicholas Marty won the 1600 (5:10.70) and the 3200 (11:27.58) and Anthony Peak won the 110 hurdles (17.01) and the 300 hurdles (46.51).

Ethan Buck won the high jump (5-04) and finished second in the javelin (150-08) and the long jump (17-10). Braden Bramhall won the 100 (11.63) for the Indians.

Jacob Butcher finished second in the 200 (24.29) and Jeremy Cook placed second in the 1600 (6:13.92). Cody Harris placed second in the 3200 (13:12.67) and Freddy Fernandez earned a silver in the 110 hurdles (19.68) and the 300 hurdles (49.19). Michael Echtle took second in the discus.

Napavine’s Draven Riddle won the triple jump (40-10.25) and Noah Lantz took the javelin (163-01). The 4x100 relay team (Chase McCarter, Riddle, Cade Evander, Brandon Zandecki) won in 46.25 seconds.

Payton Tanori placed second in the 400 (1:00.45) and Caleb Perz Stewart finished second in the 800 (2:23.21). Hayden Thompson finished second in the shot put (33-04) and McCarter took silver in the pole vault (11-06).

Napavine is back in action on Saturday at the Shelton Invitational while Toledo competes next on Tuesday at a C2BL meet in Onalaska.

Mossyrock Girls Take Team Title at Track Meet in Raymond

RAYMOND — The Mossyrock girls earned the team title in a seven-team crossover track meet here on Thursday.

The Lady Vikings won with 119 points. Naselle finished in second with 105 points.

Stephanie Fried won the 200 meters (28.06 seconds) and finished second in the 100 (13.32) and 400 (1:07.28). Sarah Lovan won the 400 (1:06.10) and took third in the 800 (29.45) for the Vikings.



Faith Mulligan placed second in the 800 (2:52.85) and Jamie Carlson finished second in the javelin (118 feet, 9 inches). Andee Nelson earned a silver in the triple jump (29-04.25).

Myah Bell earned a bronze in the 800 (2:53.84), Heather Edgar placed third in the shot put (33-00) and Ava Nelson took third in the discus (98-01). Paige Moorcroft picked up a third place finish in the javelin (105-11).

The Pe Ell girls finished fourth. Alli Justice won the 300 hurdles (57.89) and finished second in the 100 hurdles (19.47) and third in the triple jump (28-07).

Maggie Elliott earned wins in the triple jump (30-07.75) and long jump (13-06), and also earned a second place finish in the high jump (4-08).

Emily Justice earned a third place finish in the 100 hurdles (19.88).

The Trojan boys finished second as a team with 110 points. Raymond won the team title with 153 points.

Pe Ell’s Andrew Schulz earned wins in the 100 (11.65), 200 (23.81) and the long jump (20-02). Schulz also placed second in the triple jump (40-08). Bradley Prestegord took the title in the javelin (155-07).

Kaleb McCalden placed second in the 110 hurdles (16.76) and third in the high jump (6-00). Willy Ames was close behind McCalden in third in the 110 hurdles (17.71). Braeden McAllister finished second in the 300 hurdles (47.65) and Ames was a fraction of a second behind McAllister in third place.

Jeremiah Yost placed second in the shot put (42-03) and Ryan Shepherd took third in the javelin (146-03).

Mossyrock’s Lucas Johnson earned the win in the 400 (55.10) and James Cushman finished right behind Johnson in second place (55.33). Matthew Panuska earned a second place finish in the discus (108-02).

Mossyrock travels to Ellensburg on Saturday for the Keith Jewett Invitational while Pe Ell is back in action on Tuesday in a C2BL meet at Toutle Lake.

Tenino Earns Individual Wins at Evergreen Meet

TENINO — Tenino’s Chase Blankenship was among a handful of individuals who earned wins for the Beavers at a 1A Evergreen League track meet here on Thursday.

Blankenship earned a win in the triple jump (39-10) and a third-place finish in the long jump (17-08).

Yngwie Dowies finished first in the javelin (120-03.50) and Ashton Cutlip took the title in the 100 (11.87).

Clayton Oldfield placed third in the 200 (26.12) and Kevin Lomax earned a bronze in the 400 (58.54).

On the girls side, Ashley Adams won the triple jump (29-07.50) and Katie Snyder earned second place in the 3200 (15:38.70).

Hoquiam won the boys team title and Elma won the girls title.

Tenino travels to Shelton on Saturday to compete in the Shelton Invitational.
