Thursday's 2B Track & Field: Adna Boys Take Title at C2BL Track Meet in Napavine

NAPAVINE — The Adna boys won the team title at a five team Central 2B League Track & Field meet here on Thursday.

Adna’s Brady Collins won the 100 (11.84), the 200 (24.69) and was the final leg of Adna’s victorious 4x100 relay team (Braden Thomas, Luke Wellander, Zander Blankenship).

Elias Howe won the 800 (2:29.19) and finished second in the high jump for the Pirates and Luke Wellander won the 110 hurdles (16.17) and the 300 hurdles (44.34). Zander Blankenship won the high jump (5-08) and the long jump (19-06).

Adna’s 4x400 relay team won (Lucas Ashley, Rodolfo Hernandez, Jason Trice, Howe) with a time of 4:05.76.

Aisan Ryan placed second in the 400 (56.52) and Aaron Slape took second in the 3200 (12:17.31). Christian Loose and Ashton Dowell placed second and third respectively in the 300 hurdles. Braden Thomas finished second in the long jump (18-10).

Toledo’s boys finished third as a team behind Rainier in second place. Nicholas Marty won the 1600 (5:01.37) and the 3200 (11:13.57).

Jacob Butcher earned second in the 200 (24.85) and Cody Harris finished second in the 800 (2:32.29) and third in the 1600 and 3200. Anthony Peak placed second in the 110 hurdles (17.04) for Toledo.

Toledo’s 4x100 relay team (Braden Bramhall, Trace Bybee, Duke Schaplow, Butcher) and the 4x400 relay team (Isaac Ferrell, Jared Van Hoof, Bybee, Bramhall) each placed second.

Reece Wallace took third in the 400 (59.54) and the long jump (18-07). Ethan Buck took third in the javelin (147-09) and Trace Bybee finished third in the 100 (12.21).

Napavine’s Draven Riddle won the triple jump (41-06) and finished second in the 100 (11.94). Noah Lantz finished second in the javelin (148-06) and Caleb Perz Stewart placed second in the 1600 (5:27.10) for the Tigers.

Cade Evander earned a bronze in the high jump (5-02) and Chase McCarter finished third in the pole vault (11-00).

On the girls side, Rainier took the team title with 101 points, Toledo finishing second with 73 points and Napavine close behind in third with 69.5 points.

Toledo’s Abigail Rowe won the 100 (13.66) and the 200 (28.65). Ally Bacon won the javelin (112-06) and Emily Tyner won the high jump (4-08) and placed third in the long jump (14-00).

Ashlyn Rustan finished second in the 800 (3:25.75) and Shareace Miller finished close behind in third. Toledo’s 4x100 relay team (Alyssa Gaskill, Kallie Schaplow, Bacon, Rowe) earned a silver.

Napavine’s Mollie Olson won four event, including the 110 hurdles (15.86), 300 hurdles, (49.68), the long jump (15-06) and the triple jump (33-07).

Chloe Stewart finished second in the 100 hurdles (17.21) and the long jump (14-08) and also placed third in the 300 hurdles. Calyx Pope earned second place in the high jump (4-04) and Xoee Pope earned a bronze in the 400. Cirstyn Ellison finished third in the shot put.

The 4x400 relay team for Adna (Lauryn Apperson, Jordyn Swenson, Samee Jo Moon, Rachel Burke) won the event.

Adna’s Carli Latimer recorded a second place finish in the 100 (13.89) and a third place finish in the 200. Lauryn Apperson took second place in the 400 (1:06.14) and the 3200 (14:07.65). Samee Jo Moon finished third in the 3200.



Napavine is back in action on Tuesday at the Pirate Classic. Adna hits the road tomorrow to participate in the Oregon Relays in Hayward Field, and Toledo is off until next Friday at the Kalama Twilight Invite.

Pe Ell Boys, Mossyrock Girls Earn Team Titles at C2BL Track Meet

MOSSYROCK — The Pe Ell boys and Mossyrock girls won the team titles at a Central 2B League Track & Field meet here on Thursday.

Mossyrock’s Stephanie Fried won the 100 (13.39), Maleah Nixon Klein won the 200 (29.14) and Sarah Lovan won the 400 (1:07.41). Heather Edgar won the shot put (32-07), Ava Nelson won the discus (99-10) and Jamie Carlson won the javelin (117-08).

The Vikings’ 4x100 relay team (Gracie Lovan, Sarah Lovan, Nixon Klein, Fried) won with a time of 55.02 and the 4x200 relay team (Jillian Cournyer, Nixon Klein, Sarah Lovan, Fried) won with a time of 1:54.46.

Faith Mulligan placed second (2:50.53) and Myah Bell finished third in the 800. Bell placed second in the 1600 (6:27.52). Paige Moorcroft finished second in the javelin (102-04) and Andee Nelson placed third in the long jump (13-01).

Morton-White Pass finished third as a team. Kaylen Collette won the 1600 (6:13.31) and the 3200 (14:09.25) and Jacie Dunlap won the 300 hurdles (56.14) and finished second in the 200 (30.68).

Elexcious Hampton finished second in the 400 (1:12.42) and the 100 (14.84). Emily Elswick took second place in the shot put (29-01) and Rachel Goble finished third in the 400 (1:26.91).

Pe Ell’s Alli Justice won the 100 hurdles (18.50), placed second in the 300 hurdles (57.84) and third in the 1600 (7:04.09). Maggie Elliott won the high jump (4-08) and the triple jump (31-00), earned second place in the long jump (13-03) and third in the javelin (95-07). Emily Justice finished third in the high jump (4-04).

On the boys side, Pe Ell’s Andrew Schulz won the long jump (20-10) and finished second in the 100 and 200. Ryan Shepherd won the triple jump (40-01) and the 300 hurdles (43.76) and placed second in the long jump and javelin.

Kaleb McCalden won the 110 hurdles (16.93) and placed second in the discus and third in the 300 hurdles. Bradley Prestegord won the discus (128-00) and the javelin (148-08), and Jeremiah Yost and Prestegord tied for the top spot in the shot put (40-06).

Willy Ames finished third in the 110 hurdles (19.58) and Samuel Shelton finished third in the triple jump (34-01) for Pe Ell.

Morton-White Pass’ Tristen Storey won the 100 (11.68) and the 200 (23.25). Manuel Martinez won the 400 (56.03) and finished third in the 100. James Boyet won the 1600 (5:31.33) and the 3200 (12:42.02) for MWP.

The Timberwolves’ 4x100 relay team (Jesse Urban, Marcos Garcia, Tristen Storey, Martinez) won the race with a time of 45.81.

Levi Clements finished second in the 110 hurdles (18.02) and the 300 hurdles (44.18), as well as a third place finish in the shot put. Zack Jennings placed third in the 800 (2:33.65) and second in the 1600 (5:33.97). Tristen Stuart earned a silver in the 3200 (14:11.06). Xander Shirley tied for third in the high jump for the Timberwolves.

Mossyrock’s Charlie Paz-Topia finished second in the 800 (2:33.59) and third in the 1600 (5:34.27). Austin King earned second place in the high jump (5-02), James Cushman finished third in the long jump (17-04) and Matthew Panuska took third place in the discus (109-03).

Mossyrock is back in action on Friday at the Wolf Pack Invite in Tumwater. Morton-White Pass will travel across the state to take part in the Pasco Invitational on Saturday. Pe Ell is off until Tuesday, traveling to Adna for the Pirate Classic.
