Thursday's Track & Field: Adna Boys, Girls Win at Track Meet in Onalaska

ONALASKA — The Adna boys and girls won the team titles at a Central 2B League track & field meet here on Thursday.

On the girls side, Carli Latimer won the 100 with a time of 13.06 seconds. Kaylin Todd won the 200 (28.75) and Joey Swenson finished second (29.87) for the Pirates. Todd also won the 400 (1:05.56).

Adna’s 4x100 relay team of Hannah Bilodeau, Meili Wolf, Jordyn Swenson and Latimer won with a time of 55.16. The 4x400 relay team of Lauryn Apperson, Jordyn Swenson, Samee Jo Moon and Zarine Walker earned a win in 4:44.66.

The Pirates won with 137 points. Morton-White Pass finished second with 111 points and Napavine finished in third with 106 points, just barely edging Mossyrock in fourth place with 105.5 points.

MWP’s Kaylen Collette won the 1600 (6:32) and the 3200 (14:12.31).

Napavine’s Chloe Stewart won the 100 hurdles (16.61), 300 hurdles (51.65), long jump (16-04) and the triple jump (31-08). Mossyrock’s Sarah Lovan won the 800 (2:39.03) and Onalaska’s Carmen Cleveland-Barrera took the title in the shot put (37-01).

In boys action, Adna’s Austen Apperson won the 800 (2:01.32) and the 1600 (4:37.61). Christian Loose won the 110 hurdles (17.30) and Ashton Dowell won the 300 hurdles (44.30) with Loose finishing second behind Dowell (46.66) for the Pirates.

Elias Howe won the high jump (5-08) and the Adna 4x400 relay team of Andrew Montgomery, Braden Thomas, Jarod Keys and Brady Collins won with a time of 3:47.31.

Adna ran away with the team title with 172 points. MWP earned second with 143 points and Napavine took third with 99 points.

MWP’s Tristen Storey and Napavine’s Draven Riddle tied for the win in the 100 (11.21). Storey claimed the solo victory in the 200 (22.73) and Riddle won the long jump (21-06.50) and the triple jump (40-09).

MWP’s Alex Brown won the 3200 (12:23.23) and the 4x100 relay team of Manuel Martinez, Kaleb Rashoff, Marcos Garcia and Storey won the race with a time of 44.66 seconds.

Napavine’s Keith Olson won the shot put (45-04) and teammate Hayden Thompson finished second (36-09). Mossyrock’s James Cushman won the 400 (55.11) and Matthew Pansuka won the discus (131-08) for the Vikings.

Onalaska’s Bo Blankenship won the javelin (133-05).

MWP and Napavine will travel to Adna on Tuesday for a C2BL meet. Onalaska and Mossyrock are back on the track next Thursday at Kalama in a C2BL meet.

Centralia Girls Win EvCo Track Meet

ROCHESTER — The Centralia girls won the team title at an Evergreen 2A Conference dual track & field meet here on Thursday.

Centralia’s Bailey Powell won the 100 with a time of 14.06 seconds and Lucy Nowicki won the 200 for the Tigers with a time of 29.13. Anastasia Ulrigg earned the win in the 400 (1:05.89) and Makayla Erickson earned two wins for Centralia in the 800 (2:47.57) and the 1600 (6:08).

Kacey Emery earned a win for the Tigers in the shot put with a throw of 29 feet, 5 inches. Satine Sas earned a win in the discus (85-06) and the javelin (72-01). Riley Babka won the long jump (13-00).

Centralia’s 4x100 relay team of Babka, Powell, Alayna Miller and Nowicki won with a time of 56.59 seconds. The 4x200 relay team of Tawnee Craig, Rebekah Robbins, Babka and Powell with a time of 1:57.08. The 4x400 relay team of Craig, Hannah Robbins, Nowicki and Rebekah Robbins won with a time of 4:40.40.

Rochester’s Amerika Jones won the 100 hurdles (19.82) and the 300 hurdles (1:00.08). Gabby Holman won the 3200 for the Warriors with a time of 14:19.67.

Kate Peltier won two events for the Warriors including the high jump (4-04) and the triple jump (28-06).

In boys action, the two teams tied with 65 points each. Rochester’s Patrick Riley won two events, including the 200 with a time of 24.61 seconds and the 400 with a time of 54.38.

Ian Lupardus won the 110 meter hurdles for the Warriors with a time of 20.08 and the long jump with a leap of 16-06. Rochester’s Grayson Johnson won the discus with a toss of 111 feet, 4 inches and Daniel May earned a victory in the javelin with a distance of 158-10.



Nick Forseyth won the triple jump with a leap of 31-05 for the Warriors.

Centralia’s Kolby Selstrom earned a win in the high jump (4-09) and Colby McCann picked up a victory in the shot put (35-00). Gabe Chapin won the 100 (12.03) and Ben Corwin won the 800 (2:23).

Rudy Voetberg had two wins for the Tigers including the 1600 (5:05) and the 3200 (10:53). Centralia’s 4x100 relay team of Chapin, Noah Ritter, Cameron Moore and Sha’Ron Settles won with a time of 48.64 seconds and the 4x400 relay team of Selstrom, Cameron Lawson, Moore and Settles won with a time of 3:40.

Centralia is back in action on Thursday, hosting Tumwater in an EvCo meet. Rochester is off until April 3 at the Spring Break Runner’s Classic in Centralia.

Toledo Boys, Girls Finish Second in Toutle Lake

TOUTLE — The Toledo boys and girls each earned second place at a Central 2B League track & field meet here on Thursday.

On the girls side, Kal Schaplow won the shot put (28 feet, 8 inches) and Nyssa Castro won the 300 hurdles (58.00) and earned second in the high jump (4-04).

Maryssa Peters finished second in the 200 (30.93). Ashley White placed second in the 100 hurdles (22.62) and third in the 300 hurdles (1:04.46). Stacie Spahr took second in the shot put (26-10) and the discus (82-05).

Toledo’s 4x100 relay team of Alyssa Gaskill, Andrea Jones, Maddie Stewart and Schaplow earned second (55.81). The 4x200 relay team of Gaskill, Stewart, Spahr and Schaplow finished second (2:01.12) and the 4x400 relay team of Jones, Greenlee Clark, Gaskill and Spahr placed second (5:14.84).

In boys action, Nicholas Marty won the 1600 (4:36.55) and the 3200 (11:00.91). Anthony Peak won the 110 hurdles (18.72) and earned second in the 300 hurdles (46.94). Jacob Butcher earned the win in the shot put (41-08) and finished second in the 200 (23.93).

Toledo’s 4x100 relay team of Butcher, Miguel Soto, Duke Schaplow and Braden Bramhall won with a time of 45.22.

Soto earned third in the long jump (18-02) and the triple jump (37-09).

Winlock’s Bryce Cline finished second in the 400 (54.93) and third in the 200 (24.44). Logan Hall took second in the discus (109-05).

Elizabeth Gabbert finished fourth in the long jump (14-01) for the Cardinals.

Rainier won both the boys and girls team titles.

Toledo travels to Adna on Tuesday for C2BL meet while Winlock will travel to Kalama on Thursday.

Pe Ell Boys Finish Third at North Beach

OCEAN SHORES — The Pe Ell boys placed third in a Pacific 2B League track & field meet here on Thursday.

Pe Ell’s Andrew Schulz won the 100 (12.04 seconds), the 200 (24.39), the long jump (20 feet, 5 inches) and the triple jump (39-11).

Braeden McAllister won the 110 hurdles (18.55) and Aaiden Lee won the 300 hurdles (49.03). Jeremiah Yost won the shot put (44-00) and the Discus (115-11).

Dana Isham finished second in the triple jump (38-02.50).

In girls action, Pe Ell’s Payten Wiltse earned fifth in the javelin (62-03) and Emily Justice earned sixth in the high jump (4-00).

Pe Ell competes again next Thursday in South Bend at a P2BL meet.
