Summer Baseball: Saints Drop I-5 Toyota in GSL Tournament Opener

Sawyer Burdick scored the only run for I-5 Toyota as the TC Saints earned a 5-1 win in a GSL Tournament game at Borst Park in Centralia on Wednesday morning.

Cole Wintrip earned the start on the mound and threw three innings. Drew Rose came on in the fourth and pitched the final four innings, allowing one run, one walk and four strikeouts.

At the plate, Teegan Zillyet had two hits and Max Taylor, Brit Lusk, Kyle Trout and Burdick each had one hit.



The Saints scored three runs in the second inning, including a two run home run, to take the lead. The Saints added one run in the third and fifth innings. I-5 Toyota scored their lone run in the sixth on an Eli Brown sacrifice fly to score Burdick.

I-5 Toyota is back in action in the GSL tournament on Thursday at 6 p.m. against Seattle Selece at Borst Park in Centralia.
