State Golf: W.F. West’s Kim Places 34th at State Golf Tournament

RICHLAND — W.F. West’s Andrew Kim shot a two day total of 162 to finish in 34th place at the State 2A boys golf tournament on Wednesday at Columbia Point Golf Course.

Kim fired an 87 on the second day after shooting a 75 (+3) on Tuesday.

Centralia’s Rudy Voetberg carded a second round 84 for a two day total of 167 to take 39th place. Voetberg just barely made the cut after Day 1 by shooting an 83 (+11).

Liberty’s (Issaquah) Chase McIntosh won the tournament with two day total of 139 (-5).



W.F. West’s Bryce Dobyns shot a 90 on Day 1 to miss the cut for Day 2.

In the 2A State girls golf tournament, W.F. West’s Kate Balmelli shot a 113 at Horn Rapids Golf Course and wasn’t able to make the cut for Day 2.

In Spokane, Adna’s Trevor Thornburg shot a 98 on the first day of the 1B/2B State boys golf tournament at Hangman Valley Golf Course, unable to make the cut for Day 2.
