State 2B Girls Soccer: Lady Loggers Felled at State

WINTHROP — Onalaska’s first ever trip to state in girls soccer came to an unceremonious end here Friday night as they fell to the hometown Liberty Bell squad by a score of 2-0.

The Loggers fell behind in the first half when Liberty Bell was able to put a penalty kick into the net in the 25th minute. Liberty Bell took that 1-0 lead into the intermission.



Onalaska surrendered another score in the second half when a Liberty Bell player doinked a kick off of the crossbar and into the goal in the 47th minute.

Onalaska finished the regular season in fourth place in the Central 2B League and secured the third seed out of District 4. The Loggers’ overall season record was 12-8.
