Senior All-Star Games Set for Wednesday at Centralia College

Several local senior basketball players will play one more time in front of friends and family at the Southwest Washington Senior All-Star Game at Centralia College on Wednesday.

The girls game will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the boys game will follow at 7:30 at Michael Smith Gymnasium.

On the girls side, local athletes participating include W.F. West’s Courtney Bennett, Madi Haakenson and Erika Brumfield, Centralia’s Danika Jensen and Tenino’s Kaylee Schow from the 2A/1A ranks and Morton-White Pass’ Jacie Dunlap from the 2B side. Non-local big name players include Black Hills’ Maisy Williams, Wahkiakum’s Macie Elliott, Ellie Leitz and Charlie Ashe and R.A. Long’s Easton Reeves.



On the boys side, it is 2B vs. 2A once again. The 2B roster includes Toledo’s Fano Arceo-Hansen, Andreas Malunat and Westin Wallace, Adna’s Austin Apperson and Lyle Metzenberg and Morton-White Pass’ Kaleb Rashoff. Other familiar names include Willapa Valley’s Matthew Pearson, Toutle Lake’s Mike Adams and Logan Grabenhorst and Life Christian's Noah Robinson. MWP’s Chad Cramer will coach the 2B team.

On the 2A side, local athletes include Centralia’s Michael Ajoge, W.F. West’s Colby White and Colton Baker, Rochester’s Keegan Goldrick and Tenino’s Yngwie Dowies. Locals may also be familiar with Black Hills’ Jackson Bauer and Aberdeen’s Ben Dublanko and Javier Bojorge. The 2A team will be coached by Winlock coach Nick Bamer.

There is a 3-point contest at halftime of each the boys and girls games and an MVP award will be handed out to the top athlete in each game.
