W.F. West’s Henry Robbins won the freshman race at the Captial Invite in Olympia on Saturday.
Robbins completed the race in 12:42.21, more than two seconds faster than Hanford’s Ethan Stout in second place.
Rochester’s Levi Jennings finished ninth in the freshman race with a time of 13:47. Braxton Williams was the highest finisher for Tenino with a time of 14:29 for 26th place.. Centralia’s Elias Stehr (15:01) finished in 43rd place.
In the freshman girls race, W.F. West’s Riley Johnston was the highest local finisher, placing 17th with a time of 17:28. Rochester’s Lizeth Rodriguez (19:16) placed 45th and Tenino’s Claire Scibelli (21:30) finished in 63rd place.
In the sophomore girls race, Tenino’s Alexandra Doig (24:34) finished 80th and Centralia’s Alana Conley (25:28) placed 83rd. For the boys race, Rochester’s Jamison Cody finished in 42nd with a time of 14:31. W.F. West’s Aram Matagi (14:51) took 53rd place and Tenino’s Drew Hart (14:55) placed 55th. Centralia’s Noah Aliff (15:24) finished in 69th.
In the junior boys race, W.F. West’s Francisco Lima placed 19th with a time of 12:45 and William Taylor placed 36th with a time of 13:33. Rochester’s Jared Winters (14:22) placed 60th and Tenino’s Harley Whitaker (14:58) took 67th.
On the girls side, W.F. West’s Xylia Warner finished 27th with a time of 17:21. Tenino’s Katie Snyder was close behind with a time of 17:33 to place 29th. Centralia’s Brynna Rooklidge (17:51) finished in 32nd place and Rochester’s Hazel Belknap (19:04) earned 46th place.
In the senior girls race, Centralia’s Makayla Erickson finished in 15th place with a time of 15:51. W.F. West’s Savannah Johnson placed 27th with a time of 16:49.
Centralia’s Tawnee Craig (18:51) placed 47th and Rochester’s Gabriella Holman (18:54) finished in 49th.
In the boys race, Rochester’s Seth Moceri was the highest local finisher with a time of 13:22 to place 25th and teammate Casey Reese was close behind in 29th place with a time of 13:22.
W.F. West’s Nathan Briggs (13:53) placed 40th and Centralia’s William Brown (13:59) finished in 44th.
Onalaska’s Wright Wins Ocosta Invitational
OCOSTA — Onalaska’s Zachary Wright won the boys race at the Ocosta Invitational here on Saturday.
Wright finished the race in 16:09, more than a minute and a half faster than second place Dylan Todd of Ocosta.
Napavine’s Caleb Perz Stewart finished 12th with a time of 18:47. Teammate Garrett Rushton (20:43) finished in 24th and Onalaska’s Jedidiah Wagoner (20:49) was right behind Rushton in 25th place.
On the girls side, Onalaska’s Renate Prazak finished in 9th with a time of 24:05. Teammate Samantha Conner (25:03) placed 10th.
Napavine and Onalaska are back in action on Tuesday at a Central 2B League meet in Onalaska.
