Saturday's Prep Baseball: Toledo Splits Doubleheader With Kittitas

KITTITAS — Toledo crushed Kittitas in the opener, but only managed three hits in the second game to split a twinbill with the Coyots here in nonleague baseball on Saturday.

Toledo won the first game 24-4, collecting 18 hits in the win.

Hunter Eaton had three hits including a double with four RBI and a run and Dawson Marcil had two hits, three runs and an RBI. Kyle Bauter added a hit, five runs, three walks and an RBI for the Indians.

Cody Towns had a hit and five RBI and pitched all seven innings on the mound, allowing two earned runs on five hits while striking out four batters.

Toledo scored two runs in the first, seven in the second and two more in the third for a 11-2 lead after three innings. The Indians scored 13 runs in the seventh inning to put the exclamation point on the win.

Game 2 was a different story as Kittitas won 5-1.

Kaden Sellards had a hit and Toledo’s only run, and Eaton and Tommy Kinsman each had hits for the Indians.

Gannon Madill started on the mound and pitched four innings, allowing three earned runs on five hits with three strikeouts.

Kittitas scored three runs in the first inning and tacked on two more runs in the fifth to secure the win. Toledo’s only run came in the third.



Toledo hosts Mossyrock on Tuesday, April 10, in a Central 2B League doubleheader.

Adna Takes Down White Salmon

WHITE SALMON — Adna scattered 12 hits across seven innings to defeat 1A White Salmon 14-6 in a nonleague baseball game here on Saturday.

Chance Fay had a solid day at the plate, going 4 for 6 with two RBIs and three stolen bases. Elmer Loose was 2 for 6 with two RBIs.

Conner Weed had two hits with two RBIs and Matthew Scheuber also had two hits, including a double, and two RBI.

Abel Ingle started on the mound, pitching four innings while allowing three runs on four hits with one strikeout to earn the win.

Adna was down 3-1 after the first inning, but scored three runs in the second to take the lead. The Pirates added a run in the third, fourth and fifth innings before putting seven runs on the board in the sixth inning to seal the win.

Adna (6-2, 5-1) hosts Woodland on Friday at noon in a nonleague game.
