Saturday's College Baseball: Centralia Falls to Tacoma

TACOMA — Tacoma scored six runs in the third and fifth innings and held off Centralia to earn a 14-7 win in an NWAC West Region baseball game here on Saturday.

Centralia’s Will Garcia had three hits, a run and an RBI and Taylor Mondina had two hits and three RBI.

Wes Kuzminsky added two hits, Ethan Hori had a hit and two runs and Blake Marker added two runs for the Blazers.



Zach Curtis got the start for the Blazers, pitching 2 ⅓ innings, allowing one earned run on one hit with one walk in the no decision.

Tacoma’s six runs in the third and fifth innings helped them to a 12-1 lead after five. Centralia tried to comeback, including runs in the sixth and eighth and four runs in the seventh, but Tacoma recorded two runs in the bottom of the eighth to secure the victory. W.F. West product Elijah Johnson scored a pair of runs for the Titans.

Centralia (3-10, 0-2) travels to Auburn to face Green River on Wednesday in a West Region game.
