Twin City Union Drops Opener to South Sound FC

LAKEWOOD — Twin City Union FC opened its season here on Sunday, falling 2-0 to South Sound FC.

The game was knotted at zero after the first half, but South Sound broke the tie in the second half, scoring in the 57th minute. South Sound added an insurance goal in the 75th minute.

Twin City announced the team’s roster prior to the first game, featuring plenty of Southwest Washington talent.



The team features four Centralia College signees, and also features recent Centralia High School signees Lauren Frost and Rose Robbins. Adna players Kate Blackstone-Burgess and Kelsey Aselton cracked the roster, as well as Rochester product Camryn Althauser and Toledo product Stephanie Yoder.

Twin City will look to earn its first win of the season this Saturday, traveling to play at 4:30 against the Spokane Shadow.
