Toledo grad and current Central Washington pitcher Mack Gaul was named Great Northwest Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season on Monday, for his performance in the Wildcats’ 8-2 win over Northern Nazarene University Saturday.

Gaul pitched six innings for the Wildcats, allowing one earned run on three hits, while striking out eight hitters.

The left-handed sophomore, who has a 4-3 record this season, also earned GNAC pitcher of the week on February 29 after leading CWU to a win over Academy of Art University.

Gaul graduated from Toledo in 2013 and spent a year at the University of Washington before moving to CWU.

The Wildcats, currently leading the GNAC with a 22-14 record, begin a four-game series at Western Oregon on Saturday.
