TENINO — Rochester kept swinging the bat well here on Thursday, collecting 15 hits en route to a 19-3 win in three innings over Tenino in an Evergreen 1A Conference contest.

The Warriors opened up the game with 11 runs in the first inning. Rochester added six in the second inning, and scored two runs in the third inning to end the game.

“They bounced back well today, and we played defense like we normally do,” Rochester coach Jared Lancaster said. “They threw their other pitcher today and we continued to hit the ball well.”

Joni Lancaster was a perfect 4 for 4 with two triples and a double. Jaelin Lancaster and Jessica Girardin combined to allow three runs on one hit while striking out two batters.

Rochester (15-2, 10-2 league) will travel to Elma on Tuesday. Tenino (10-6, 7-6 league) will host Hoquiam on Tuesday.
