1A Girls Golf: Rochester Falls To La Center

Rochester had two girls shoot season-best scores, but the Warriors fell to La Center 218-276 in an Evergreen 1A Conference match on Thursday at Riverside Golf Club in Chehalis.

La Center’s Emily Haasl earned medalist honors with a 52. Teammate Taylor Entenman finished in second place with a 53, and right behind her in third place was La Center’s Maddie Brown. Mati Ashton was the highest finisher for Rochester, earning fourth place with a 55.

Rochester’s Nicole Fry shot a 65, followed by a 77 from Allison Beagley. Karlee McLaughlin shot a 79 for the Warriors, and Shelby Baird and Elizabeth Miller each had season best scores with an 81 and 82, respectively.



“I wasn’t disappointed,” Rochester coach Kyle Sprague said. “I think putting got to the whole field, putting was not great.”

Rochester (0-10) will play its final match of the season on Thursday at Club Green Meadows in Vancouver against King’s Way.
