ROCHESTER — Nick Taylor scored for Rochester in the 70th minute to help the Warriors earn a 2-1 win over Forks in an Evergreen 2A/1A Conference game here on Thursday.

Rochester got on the board first in the 34th minute on a breakaway goal from Jesus Torres, the only goal of the first half.

In the second half, Forks tied the game with a penalty kick. But Taylor scored the go-ahead goal and eventual game winner late in the second half.

“He drilled it hard past the keeper, he didn’t have a chance,” Rochester coach Brian Ziese said. “We had lots of chances, the seniors were playing and having fun, it was a fun game to watch. It was nice to end the season on a win.”

It was the final game of the season for the Warriors, and the final game in the high school careers for Jose Amaya, Alex Castillo, Adrian Esparza, Luis Garcia, Colton Kilmer, Jesus Martinez, Kevin McLernan, Nic Taylor and Hunter Troit.

Rochester finished the season at 8-8 overall and 8-6 in league.
