Prep Track & Field: Toledo Boys, Adna Girls Win Team Titles at Pirate Classic

ADNA — The Toledo boys and the Adna girls won the team titles at the Pirate Classic track & field meet here on Monday.

In girls action, Adna’s Carli Latimer won the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.87 seconds and the 200 (28.69). Lauryn Apperson won the 400 (1:05.28) and Samee Jo Moon won the 800 (2:52.70).

Adna’s 4x100 relay team of Hannah Bilodeau, Joey Swenson, Zarine Walker and Latimer won with a time of 55.04 seconds. The 4x200 relay team of Apperson, Maddie Kleemeyer, Joey Swenson and Latimer won with a time of 1:55.90. The 4x400 relay team of Kleemeyer, Jo Moon, Walker and Apperson won in 4:42.62.

Bilodeau finished second in the 100 (14.01) and the 100 hurdles (19.24). Kaylin Todd finished second in the 200 (30.02) and the 400 (1:07.49). Faith Wellander took second in the 300 hurdles (52.78) and Walker finished second in the long jump (14 feet, 5.25 inches).

The Pirates won with 122 points. Toledo finished second with 103 points and Napavine earned third with 98 points.

Toledo’s Ashley White won the 1600 (7:09.56) and Stacie Spahr won the discus (94-00). Kal Schaplow won the javelin (136-09) and Nyssa Castro tied for the win in the high jump (4-04).

The 4x100 relay team of Castro, Andrea Jones, Alyssa Gaskill and Schaplow took second in 56.08 seconds and the 4x400 relay team of Greenlee Clark, Maddie Stewart, Maryssa Peters and White finished second with a time of 5:20.59.

Napavine’s Chloe Stewart continues to pile up wins, earning victories in the 100 hurdles (17.96), 300 hurdles (50.13), long jump (14-06.50) and triple jump (32-07.50). Haily Murray was tied for the win in the high jump (4-04) and finished second in the shot put (32-03).

Onalaska’s Carmen Cleveland-Barrera won the shot put (36-00) and Michaela Wagoner earned the win in the 1600 (7:16.24).

Winlock’s Elizabeth Gabbert finished fourth in the long jump (13-03.75) and the 100 (14.84). Azhia Camps took fourth in the discus (81-03).

In boys action, Toledo’s Jacob Butcher won the 200 (24.48) and finished second in the shot put (40-07). Nicholas Marty won the 1600 (5:02.88) and finished second in the 3200 (10:03.72). Anthony Peak won the 110 meter hurdles (17.56).

The 4x100 relay team of Butcher, Miguel Soto, Duke Schaplow and Braden Bramhall won with a time of 45.90 seconds.

Bramhall took second in the 100 (12.03) and the 200 (25.51). Miguel Soto took second in the long jump (18-04) and the triple jump (38-07).

The Indians won with 153 points. Adna placed second with 137 points and Napavine finished third with 70 points.

Adna’s Brady Collins won the 100 (11.84) and finished second in the 400 (53.39). Austen Apperson won the 400 (52.57) and the 3200 (9:56.13). Jackson Humphrey won the 800 (2:16.41). Lucas Ashley won the javelin (135-02) and Elias Howe won the high jump (5-08).

The 4x400 relay team of Zander Blankenship, Jarod Keys, Collins and Apperson won with a time of 3:38.64.

Christian Loose finished second in the 110 meter hurdles (18.54) and Blankenship took second in the high jump (5-04).



Napavine’s Keith Olson won the shot put (44-06.50) and the discus (127-11). Draven Riddle won the long jump (20-03) and the triple jump (43-08).

Hayden Lester finished second in the discus (111-04) and the 4x100 relay team of Lester, Cade Evander, Riddle and Lucas Dahl took second in 46.70 seconds.

Onalaska finished fourth as a team. Jacob Russon won the 300 meter hurdles (46.51) and teammate Jason Smythe took second (48.44). Alex Pannkuk took third in the 110 meter hurdles (19.28) and the high jump (5-04).

Winlock finished fifth as a team. Noah Patching placed second in the 800 (2:17.83) and the 1600 (5:12.39). Cody Deguise earned second in the javelin (124-04).

Adna, Napavine, Onalaska and Winlock are back on the track on Friday and Saturday at the Chehalis Activators Classic. Toledo travels to Kalama on Friday for the Twilight Invite.

White Finished Second at Pasco Invite

PASCO — W.F. West’s Colby White finished second in the high jump at the 50+ team Pasco Invite track & field meet here on Saturday.

White leaped 6 feet, 4 inches to earn his second place finish. Connor Russell placed 11th in the 300 meter hurdles with a personal best 41.73 seconds.

The W.F. West girls 4x400 relay team of Nina Heither, Courtney Bennett, Elizabeth Patana and Kelly Robertson ran a team best 4:20.27 to finish 27th.

Morton-White Pass’ Tristen Storey finished ninth in the 100 meter dash (11.56).

W.F. West travels to Tumwater to face Black Hills in an Evergreen 2A Conference dual meet and will host Morton-White Pass on Friday and Saturday at the Chehalis Activators Classic.

Apperson Takes Second Twice at Willamette Falls Invitational

OREGON CITY, Ore. — Adna’s Austen Apperson earned two second place finishes at the Willamette Falls Invitational here on Saturday.

Apperson finished second in the 800 meter dash with a time of 2:00.76. He also finished second in the 1500 meter race with a time of 3:58.22.

Centralia’s Cameron Moore finished 11th in the 400 meter race with a time of 52.47 seconds. Lucy Nowicki finished 13th in the 400 meter race with a time of 1:03.82.

Centralia is back on the track Friday and Saturday at the Chehalis Activators Classic.
