ONALASKA — The Loggers defended their home turf and came out on top with a 59-56 victory over Forks during a non-league boys basketball game here Monday night.

Kayden Allison lead Onalaska with 18 points, while Carter Whitehead added 17 points and picked up six rebounds.

The Loggers shot just 17 of 55 (31%) from the field, but went 17 of 20 from the foul line in a game that featured 48 total free throws. Forks led 14-8 after a quarter.

“Offensively we played poorly, especially in the first quarter,” said coach Wayne Nelson. “They intercepted a couple passes and we didn’t handle the ball well in the backcourt but Allison made four free throws off a foul and technical that helped put us up at the end.”

Danny Dalsted added 13 points and five assists. Ashton Haight added six points and Cade Lawrence scored five with six rebounds.

Onalaska (6-0) plays at Winlock on Wednesday.
