ONALASKA — Pe Ell-Willapa Valley swung the bats well against Onalaska here on Monday, collecting 13 hits in a 21-6 win in a non-league softball game.

Britney Patrick was 3 for 4 with four RBI’s and a 3-run home run and Olivia Matlock was 2 for 2 with two RBI’s and had a solo home run. Katelyn McGough was 2 for 4 with a double and Grace Hodel and Presley Peterson each had two hits for the Titans.

Adalee Sabin had a double and two runs and Hayli Howard had a hit, a run and two RBI’s. Olivia Mitten chipped in a triple, RBI and a run.

Onalaska scored two runs in the bottom of the first to start the scoring, but the Titans answered with three runs in the top of the second for a 3-2 lead after two innings. PWV opened the game up in the third inning with 10 runs for a 13-4 lead after three innings and scored eight runs in the fourth inning to complete the game after four innings.

“We dropped a couple there in the first inning. We just kind of hung in there and we like the way we swing the bats so I think we were still pretty confident it was still going to happen, we just had to get it going a little bit,” PWV coach Ken Olson said. “Kamryn (Adkins) threw really well for us today and Grace Hodel was really solid behind the plate for us.”

PWV (1-0) travels to Raymond on Saturday for a doubleheader beginning at noon while Onalaska (0-1) hosts Kalama in a Central 2B League game on Friday.
