NAPAVINE — With the ink still wet on the news that Napavine’s Abbi Music had been named Central 2B League MVP on Monday the senior set about adding to her bonafides by spinning a no-hitter and pacing the Tigers offense in a 15-0 blowout of La Center in a non-league softball affair.

Music, who tossed four innings of shutout, no-hit softball, was also three for three for three at the plate, with three RBIs and a triple. Maddie Thompson, was also three for three at the plate, with two RBIs and two triples, while Kaiya Larson had two doubles in two at bats and drove in a run.

Napavine coach Chad Williams noted that his team has been dealing with a few minor injuries so he was grateful to be able to get in, get work done, and get his players back home for some rest and relaxation.

“We don’t have to start Districts until next week,” noted Williams. “For the most part our arms are solid and that’s really what I’m worried about.”

Williams added that the Tigers celebrated the final home game for six seniors on Monday night. Those Napavine seniors included Music, Thompson, Carleigh Oster, Taylor Denault, Jenna Sisson, and Hannah Hammond.

Napavine will travel to Castle Rock on Wednesday for their final regular season contest with a non-league contest set to begin at 4 p.m.
