The Lacey A’s were able to come from behind to defeat the Westside Jacks 4-2 in a Hub City Fastpitch League game at Borst Park in Centralia on Tuesday.
Lacey starting pitcher Butch Geisler started in the circle. The 71-year old pitched to 14-year old Allison Baumgart during Geisler’s time in the circle. NAFA Hall of Famer Trevor Knight earned the win in the circle for Lacey in a relief appearance.
At the plate, Colton Turner hit a home run for the A’s.
RJ Cano started in the circle for Westside in the loss. Levi Tate pitched three scoreless innings in relief for the Jacks.
The Jacks built a 2-0 lead, but saw it slowly evaporate as Lacey was able to come from behind to earn the win.
Lacey takes on the Salty Dogs from Centralia next Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Borst Park, followed by Westside taking on Longview at 8:30 p.m. Games are open to any players who would like to participate, please contact Jeff Hannan for more information at 360-918-1725.
