LACEY — Centralia didn’t drop a single match against Timberline here on Friday to earn a 5-0 sweep in a non-league girls tennis match.

In singles, Brynna Rooklidge defeated Brittany Cahill, 6-2, 6-1 and No. 2 singles player Evie Rooklidge also won in straight sets over Timberline’s Krizia Mullen, 6-2, 6-3.

In doubles, Centralia’s top duo of Danika Jensen and Maddie Corwin took down Lauren Schutt and Kathryn Stephe, 6-1, 6-1. Liza Hopkins and Maya O’Dell won in the No. 2 doubles match over Maya Parker and Angel Orr, 6-1, 6-3. Shannon Johnson and Olivia Wiley completed the sweep for the Tigers, earning the win over Jordan Moldenhauer and Miriam Hocutt, 6-2, 6-3.

“Our girls are looking more comfortable on the court. After tying three matches prior to this, it was nice going into spring break with a solid win,” Centralia coach Deb Keahey said. “I know Timberline is still building their program, as are we. I think our girls' confidence gets stronger with every match. Today, we played well.”

Centralia is back on the courts on Monday, hosting Black Hills in the first EvCo match of the season.
