Friday's Prep Baseball: Mountaineers Drop Loggers

ADNA — Zach Lofgren pitched a gem on the mound to lead Rainier to an 11-0 win over Onalaska in six innings in a District 4 2B baseball tournament consolation game here on Friday.

Lofgren threw six innings, allowing one hit and one walk with eight strikeouts.

Onalaska’s Matt Kurzeika started on the mound and pitched 1 ⅓ innings, allowing eight hits and seven earned runs with one strikeout. Cody Cooper pitched one inning in relief, allowing two hits, one earned run and two walks. Brayden Martin pitched the final 3 ⅔ innings, allowing four hits, one earned run and one walk with two strikeouts.



Cade Lawrence recorded the only hit for the Loggers.

Rainier scored eight runs in the second inning to pull away for good.

Onalaska will face Wahkiakum on Saturday at 10 a.m. in Chehalis in the fifth/sixth place game. Rainier faces Ocosta at 1 p.m. in Chehalis in the third/fourth place game.
